About 18 million people are employed at office workplaces in Germany, i.e. almost half of all gainfully employed people work in offices and are thus part of our modern service society. Office workplaces are not only found in classic administrative companies such as banks and insurance companies, but in almost all sectors of our economy.
In the office business sector, the focus is less on accidents and occupational illnesses than on work-related health risks. Absenteeism in this area is characterised by physical diseases, such as musculoskeletal disorders.
